Edition) by Edu Comelles</a> _ Camino, Parte Primera is the first part of a full length project based on recordings done along the Way of Saint James, a famous Middle Ages pilgrimage route along the northern regions of Spain. The whole route runs over 740 km and it takes approximately one month to complete it by walking. On this first instalment we walked for 6 days between the traditional beginning of the pilgrimage at Roncesvalles on the Navarre Pyrenees until Logroño the capital of the La Rioja Region. This route goes across Navarre and lengths 137 km. This first walk was made during Easter time, while in many towns and villages celebrations of the Death of Christ take place every year. This is Transparente by Otra Carpeta, the experimental solo project by Mexican artists Carlos Edelmiro. This improviser and composer currently living in Barcelona, presents this work in which he tries to find a balance between his improvisational facette and the more compositional one. Transparente is a short album that contain small compositions some of them already presented on the compilation [at050] Desde La Atalaia. That’s the case of Civao, the second piece of Transparente. The album also comes with a couple of collaborations with sound artists Pia Sommer and Gabriel Millán. Almost anyone, tweaking a few knobs and using the right or wrong tools, can achieve a palette, a rainbow of possibilities and certain capacity to deliver very interesting sounds. I guess that there is just need of some intuition, enthusiasm and knowing your tools. But then, when it comes the time of composing sounds, things get a bit tougher.
