Experimentation is at the heart of his creative process. He uses different instruments such as guitar, harmonica, percussions, also fields recordings to create a bank of textures and sounds that he transforms and manipulates. The superposition of these fragments combined with electronic sound sources and some software such as pool creates minimalist compositions, an enveloping sound mass where repetitive structures meet sometimes abstract rhythms.  "Le Refuge" album was composed at the end of a two-years stay in Canada, from 2017 to 2019. Burbach presents a two-track album full of field recordings and foley materials. Both pieces presented can be heard as a soundscape collage from different locations, sites and places. The two compositions are a very good example of the way Burbach understands as soundscape composition and its usage as musical material. Field recordings are combined with music, sound effects, voice and a plethora of sonorities that expand through time. It's about geolocation and sound geotagging. Many of the live sets by Mensa are settled inside Talaies Sonores Project. The proposal consists in prepare, produce and perform a series of concerts on the open air, surrounded of nature. I use to go to the mountains to check place where to play.
